Bring the PTL Project
to Your Community
Offer Your Community the Chance to Learn from Queer History Together
The Pink Triangle Legacies Project works with a variety of organizations to bring this history and its lessons to museums, libraries, community centers, classrooms, business DEAI events, and more.
Organizations We've Worked With
Costs & Fees
Speaking, event, and consulting fees are a primary source of funding for the Pink Triangle Legacies Project's work. When you book the PTL Project, you're not only bringing educational programming to your community. You're also investing in our initiatives that provide paid internships to young people and create resources for classrooms and community spaces.

Fees are based on a sliding scale. The PTL Project is happy to work with you to identify a fee amount that works for your organization's budget.
In addition to the fee, hosting organizations also financially sponsor in-person events by paying for travel and lodging.

What We Offer
Pink Triangle Legacies:
Holocaust Memory and the Fight for LGBTQ+ Rights
Multimedia Presentation & Book Signing
In person or digital
Length: 40 minutes + Q&A + book signing
This presentation tells the dynamic and inspiring history of the LGBTQ+ community's original pride symbol by tracing the transformation of the pink triangle from a Nazi concentration camp badge into a widespread emblem of queer liberation, community, and pride. Drawing from unexplored archival sources and original interviews, historian Dr. Jake Newsome showcases the voices of LGBTQ+ Holocaust victims and a rich tapestry of queer lives who found meaning in the pink triangle in a post-Holocaust world. The presentation is followed by Q&A and a book signing.
Tracing LGBTQ+ Lives in Nazi Germany: A Document Analysis
Community Activity
In person or digital
Length: 50-90 minutes
In this workshop, participants use their historian skills to analyze rare, primary source documents that offer first-person perspectives on the lives of LGBTQ+ people during the era of the Holocaust. After the primary source analysis, participants communicate their findings to each other through a series of prompts that spark meaningful discussion about the history and its legacies today.
